ITU-T(International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector)에서는 사물 인터넷/통신 기술 표준화를 위하여 지금까지 IoT-GSI(Internet of Things Global Standards Initiative) 및 FG M2M(Focus Group on Machine to Machine Service Layer) 등을 통하여 관련 권고안 및 주요 기술 문서를 개발해오고 있다. 본 고에서는 최근 SG13 Question 11(Evolution of user-centric networking, services, and interworking with networks of the future including Software-Defined Networking)에서 논의되었던 사물 인터넷 관련 주요 표준화 현황 및 신규 연구 연구항목에 대해 소개한다.
